Men's striped shirt, #37

This is actually a man's shirt. Yes really. I found it in south Florida and it is totally befitting of what guys wear in south Florida. I just love that pink!

Too big....

To save some time. I only undid a portion of the armholes at each side with my seam ripper. I took it in on both sides and then took it in on the  sleeves too. Reattach the sleeves. 

Done! I have a new shirt! Perfect for spring.

Men's Cotton Shirt to Peplum, refashion #33

Oooooh! #33! Yeah. A men's simple cotton t-shirt. Big.

After seeing numerous cute tutorials online, I decided to turn into a peplum top. First I cut the shirt right around where my waist is....

I removed the sleeves and took in the sides. Next I gathered the bottom part of shirt. Attached it to the top part.

I decided to not add the sleeves back. Because the arm hole was so far-when I took it in, it gave a nice dropped shoulder.I just did a simple hem and I was done. I wound up having to take it in just a smidge in the waist on the final try on. Doesn't matter. I got this new fabulous (and soft) peplum shirt.

Glue resist dyeing retry- pink tribal shirt

Remember that peacock feather glue resist I did a few weeks back? It sort of worked


Time to retry and also time to try another technique thanks to My Next Style. I received this wonderful pack of spray fabric paint to craft. I chose the Poppy Red.

Now I want to mix the Red with this plain o' tee shirt that is pink. Again just a smidge too big. And boring.

Next time to spray!

I actually needed 2 bottle total for one shirt. So I had to go and get another one. We are done being sprayed.

Up close

I let it dry for a solid day/day and a half. Then I washed it in hot water. Which also shrunk this shirt! Here is my finished top! Love it!

Definitely got a nice contrast! Love it. Just wish it was warmer to wear. It is freezing here!
