Well hi welcome to my little blog. Just my little corner of craftiness, sewing, and refashioning. I am also a newly gluten free eater so you have a little bit of recipes mixed in here.

Snowmen ornaments part 2- buttons and pearls

I had these beads that came from a few necklaces. Really they are buttons. They are very big and kind of tacky for a lot of projects. They have been sitting in my box for a while. Then it hit me.

I sorted them via color and type. I didn't use the gold ones. I'll save those for later!

I used all of these silver/clear buttons. They have 2 holes right on the bottom.

And using these pearl beads I thought would make for a cool snowman.

Place the bead into the center. Nice.

Putting them together they look like snowmen! Yay!

Now to glue onto the grosgrain ribbon.

I glued in between each bead because of the size and weight they bent when they were hanging.

Now for scarves. I had this beautiful ribbon.

Here is the end product on a tree.

I think they are lovely as is and I don't want to add anything else. I still can't believe Christmas is over. I have a few more posts of Christmas projects. :)

Rhinestone Snowmen

I had these large rhinestones that I didn't know what to use them for. I don't need another bellydance costume. Then I thought I would make snowmen out of them. And then turn them into ornaments.

First add glue. Yay for hot glue!

In the first one I made I glued it to some satin. I only did this once b/c then I had to cut it away. That was not something I wanted to repeat.

I used grosgrain ribbon to adhere the 3 rhinestones. Hot glue!

I drew a face and some buttons with paint pens. And then tried to make scarves for them.

I also tried a braid. Which I had to burn the ends to keep them from fraying. Yeah fun!

Here is what I have done so far. I would like to give them hats. I need to find some black foam sheets or something. But with the bad weather out, I don't want to leave the apartment yet. Will wait. Stay tuned you may see these pop up later! :)

Cross stitch Christmas Banner #2

Ok here is another cross-stitch banner I finished right when we first moved here. Again it is a kit so I didn't invite or design anything. I just followed directions. Sometimes it is just nice to follow directions and not have to think. :) Here are the progress photos which I really enjoy looking at because it shows how it really comes to life. :) Here you go!

So I have big plans with all the banners. I have 1 more left to do! :) Stay tuned!
