Well hi welcome to my little blog. Just my little corner of craftiness, sewing, and refashioning. I am also a newly gluten free eater so you have a little bit of recipes mixed in here.

Gluten Free Cheese Sticks

One of the things I miss is cheese sticks. But it is too risky to eat many of the store brought or even restaurant cheese sticks, I can't get sick again. I am now getting more sensitive to gluten. So I really have to avoid it. I cheated in December and I paid the price for it. But I miss cheese sticks.... So here is my attempt to recreate them!

First I grabbed some mozarella sticks. And pulled them out of their pouches. Then cut into 4ths.

Now I found panko bread crumbs at the grocery store, they are gluten free. This is the type of crumbs they use on sushi if you don't know. At first I used milk to coat them and dunk into the panko.

Now in my first attempt I used milk but that didn't work out well. So I switched to egg. I have now used egg whites and whole eggs, both work equally as well and I could not tell the difference with taste. Egg works much better than milk. Use eggs! Here are all of them on the tray. I am going to bake them to keep them healthier. I did 350 for about 10-15 minutes. It depends on how many you have.

Here they are in the end. And add a little marinara sauce. Yummy!

Yay for getting one of my favorite eats gluten free. Really it was super easy! Hardest part is breading them. It gets easier the more you do it. :)

I think my kids would love these. We have some gluten free breadcrumbs and I bet those would work too. Just pinned onto my gluten free board!
