Well hi welcome to my little blog. Just my little corner of craftiness, sewing, and refashioning. I am also a newly gluten free eater so you have a little bit of recipes mixed in here.

Day 65: Mod Cloth inspired Plaid Peter Pan Dress Refashion

Ok I am on another plaid kick. I don't know why. Seriously. No Idea!! Found this dress again on Sunday for $0.99. I am a sucker for peter pan collars lately.

So it is long. And needs help. But it reminds me of something I could find at Modcloth. I love that online store and I wish I could buy more things from there but I can't afford. I envisioned this refashion could turn into this dress found on Modcloth.com

First remove those blessed shoulder pads!

Next cut off length.

Cut off length for sleeves.

Open up seam at bottom of sleeve to give more room to move (it was horribly constricting). Add a triangular piece of fabric. Even hem.

Now it is time to hem everything. Fold over 2X and sew down.

I also removed the straps that were at the waist. I added a belt to break up the dress and give it a waist. Here is my end dress!!

On a funny side note. When my boyfriend was taking these pictures. He cringed at first, I told him, does he have no faith in me? With the belt and everything done, he said "Sorry for doubting you. You look really cute in this dress." I forsee using this dress for my Christmas card. I think it will be perfect for Christmas!
